Hi, Got the dreaded filler neck tank leaking and been looking on Europarts web site and speaking to them as they have 2 variants for sale, both 42 lts capacity. 

Product code 879440101 at £75.99,  and 879440131 at £168.99.

Only difference the salesman can tell me is that the expensive one has "leadfree neck".

Tank photos look the same.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or offer another reliable source please.

I bought the cheaper one for my mk2. Does the job and fits ok although the filler neck needed tweaking a little to get it to sit right.

Whichever one you buy I'd recommend painting it with POR15 or something similar to give it a fighting chance of lasting another 20 odd years.

Ok cheers, i ended up getting it from VW Heratage for same lower price & salesman seemed to know his stuff about it fitting ok.

Yeah I did this, went a bit overkill and used POR fuel tank liner inside, and epoxy mastic outside !
