Installing Right Click RCL Kit in 2007 Polo 9N3

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum. I recently purchased a Right Click RCL kit (KE851HC) to fit in my 57 plate Polo 9N3. The instructions supplied with it are not exactly helpful, so I emailed them and was then sent newer but equally vague instructions. If anyone out there has fitted one of these kits to their 9N3 of similar year, could you please tell me which wire in the door harness you connected the yellow and yellow/black (lock/unlock) wires on the module to? Did you have to use diodes on the indicator wires? Thanks

First Welcome to the Forum.

The Rclick unit is not the best thing to use to get remote C/L on your model, as the system only uses a single wire for the lock/unlock and it switches different resistances for the two commands, the best option is to fit the OEM central convenience control unit, there is a write up for this in the FAQ's

Thanks for the welcome, Nige. The OEM retrofit seems a better choice but also means getting hold of the CCU, software ,cable, new fobs etc. Serves me right for trying to do it on the cheap I suppose! Thanks for your help.
