Okay I was in a crash the other day, my lovely polopus got at big damages on the front

I apologize for the bad English, but it's not my native language. :)  

I then begin to strip it down.

 

I was lucky to find a Auto Wrecker who have the service to offer a lift to separate the desired car on, so I found a neat polo at the site and started cutting it into pieces.

And now I'm in the process of rebuilding it.

 

Okay the rebuild got at little out of hand, and now its a total rust removal and re paint of the car.

 

a little easier to cut it out an replace then just welding new in the small spot.

not easy to do the first time,  but I got it done.

Good work, rare colour so save it

I will have it repainted in the original color. but its not a rare color in Denmark.  

Time for an update.

I got at good luck on the rear shocks, that I have had an problem with my wheels hitting the fender while driving with people on the rear seats. 

To my surprise, the shock absorber had no effect at all anymore.  so I bought a TA-technique undercarriage 60-40.

Excellent work. I'm hoping to eventually do a resto on my Polo.

 

In reality the sensible thing would be to buy a better shell, but where is the fun in that.

I think this was one of the best bodies and still are in Denmark, the danish roads and weather is not the best for your car, they rust easy.

all the rust on the car is from the old damages and stone cuts.

 

Okay time for a update.

I/we began on the repainting, and I am quit happy about the results so fare, but I will give it some water grinding And polish after assembly.

The colour is really suitable for a Polo. Do you have any restrictions/laws that prevent modifications to cars in Denmark?

Yes we have a lot of laws against upgrading your car, but the older it is the easier it is to make modification on the car. 

Its is nearly impossible to upgrade the engine, we can only upgrade 25% but the emission restriction are vary hard to comply to.

 

every part you shift on the car that are not like the original you have to have an TÛV approval but if you are a little bit compatible with image editing, you can make them your self :P 

 

 

If you have a high flow catalytic converter will that be allowed and still meet the emission regulation?

Yes its the best way to meet the emission regulation with an high flow exhaust

Okay as you people can see I upgrade my suspension and all the bushes.
 new home made POM and nylantron bushes from my work, and some Ta-technic 60/40 suspension.

I am look forward to try it on the road

I had to lift the suspension a little 10mm before there was enough clearance from the wheel and spring holder.

Okay in the meantime I find my dream car. origianl G40 from 92 with original wheels and I had to have it!!
and I got and extra g40 engine one G60-lader and 4 G60 nozzle and a lot more with it!

Next project will be this

I will start with getting the engine to run properly, then a car inspection and then I don't know, properly I will strip it total down and give it a rebuild of body and engine. 

But I will start with the engine.
