Just picked up a neat little polo which I've already started making plans for.

 

mods when I bought it were :- been lowered all around not sure how low id say roughly 60mm

 

full half leather GTI interior in really good condition.

 

uprated xenon headlights 

 

blanc grille

it does need a new drivers side wing which I'll get sorted. Bumper and bonnet needs respraying.

only problem I'm having with it I can't seem to get reverse? All the other gears are lovely and smooth any ideas? 

 

Thats lovely my valver friend , not a fan of those lights and grille but apart from that its nice and a late reg too. As for the reverse for popping out, its could be the gearlinkage or worse case the box.

Cheers mate :) yeah I'm eventually gonna change it all once I get the body work sorted might go all clear head lights with genuine grille.

And need I have noticed its got a white bonnet and not the original one so that will be sorted.

 

nothig much will get done as I'm off to Ibiza in 25 days so all money is going towards that at the mo.

They look like polo 16v alloys with the centre caps missing

was thinking of mocking them up and fitting them to the front bumper what lights have people used in the past? 

Nothing much happening in work today so I set about making a rear strut brace. Just needs the holes opening up and painted if anyone wants one making I can do.

Is it better to go gloss satin or Matte black for the front grille? It has a few stained paint marks of some sort on it which needs sorting! 

Bored at work (again!) so I made a little stainless stubby aerial 

 

Going to polish my rocker cover up tonight and I'm in the process of making a aluminium spark plug cover too next is to purchase a R8 oil filler cap.

started sanding and spraying primer on the bonnet to get rid of all the stone chips and someone had made a hash job of spraying it so this is my major to do list! This is my daily and will be taking my time doing panel at a time. As you can see I haven't done it all just the front of the bonnet.

Ive also painted the front grille gloss black but haven't took any pics will get them up tomorrow 

spark cover looks good mate! Id get a filter on that crank breather and maybe route it somewhere else, when I unplugged it on my old polo the fumes came straight in the cabin and stunk it out!

Cheers :) Haha I've literally just fitted one on I haven't re-routed it yet just cable tied it near the servo gonna re-route the air filter too as it's taking so much heat soak I don't know what people are thinking when they do things like this.

Polished a bit more today it's such hard work!! Also new breather fitted.

Popping to my local scrap yard tomorrow to hopefully get a drivers wing, original grille and head lights :)

cheap little upgrade today L.E.D number plate bulbs and yes I did crack one in half I'm far to heavy handed good job I'm off to the scrap yard today! 

Those led number plate lights doo make a difference, Ive done the same as you and even upgraded the interior and boot lights to led. How much would it cost to make that spark plug cover?

Yeah that's the plan mate I got a wing and original grille and grille surround picking them up all for a value of £20 so quite happy about that. 

 

Im not sure mate £10 posted? 

I will make a few spark plug covers if anyone else wants one
