Bread van side lights

Featured Replies

My drivers side front & rear side lights & numberplate lights not working. Front dip & main beam & rear fog & brake work ok though. I have checked the fuse, bulbs, holders all ok.

It's got to be something simple so if anyone has any ideas please shout up before I call auto electrition.

Thanks

Do they work on the parking lights?

  • Author

Just tried it & front & 1 numberplate light comes on. Is this telling me something is wrong on indicator side?

Parking lights should only be the side lights on either side. I suspect the problem is in the wiring at the back lights or the switch.

Start by unplugging the wiring going to the boot. It's on the passengers side behind the carpet near the tail light. If the lights work as normal then that's the problem. Then try unplugging each connector to the rear lights and trying the sidelights.

There is an earth point behind the passengers tail light unit give that a clean.

If none of that works then maybe try unplugging the indicator switch as the wiring goes though that to the lights I think.

Are you quite sure that the fuse-holder is giving a clean, tight connection to the fuse?
