First off a hello from myself been lurking for a bit but now on my first post and it's a post of can I have a bit of help.

 

First up I've got a polo gti 6n2 recently picked it up as a bit of a project as there's a few things wrong on it but nothing major.

 

The first of my woes is an engine check light that isn't being picked up by vagcom and so can't be reset, highly annoying.

 

And the second is I have an abs light on which tells me that the rear left abs sensor has crapped out, now here's the thing is the abs sensor a standard type that sits near the braked is or is it different and placed on the torsion bar? I ask because there is a small arm hanging down under the car from the left hand side so I though it's a bit of a coincidence so I've come to ask the experts.

Your better off to ask technical questions in the tech section, VCDS/Vagcom should pickup the reason for the engine check light, are you using a good cable? as some of those sold on ebay are dubious.

 

The bit your seeing on the left side of the axle beam is the automatic headlight level sensor, the ABS sensor is in the hub backplate 

Right that makes sense as to why the headlights hunt for thier level when I plug in vagcom. The cable is good it the official one that came with the software that I got from rosstech. But I will repeat the question over in the tech section. Ta
