2012 polo Speakers blown? Replace????

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm new to this forum. On behalf of my Mrs who has recently purchased a 2012 polo 3 door 1.2 match. It's a 20k miler with1 former owner.

She bought it from a dealer (non VW) last week.  Having had the exact same car previously (but was written off due to a 3rd party driver colliding with her).

We noticed this weekend that all the speakers appear to be blowing? Even at low volume levels now every speaker L to R and F to B seem to be crackling.

Does anyone know if this a total speaker replacement job or could it be the amp or something else?

The dealer is being the usual, unhelpful, non interested seller who simply says "not under standard warranty" :x

So any advice would be hugely appreciated thank you!

Its not clear what you are describing.

Does this problem occur all the time?

On CD and Radio?

What model of radio do you have in this? (photo if unsure).

It does seem unlikley all speakers would fail at once. How to test depends on what you are most comfortable with, remove one speaker and try it on a known good source perhaps?
