Hi there everyone im new to the forum. Just bought myself a 13 plate Polo R line and im looking to upgrade the radio to something with a touchscreen. Preferably OEM just unsure which model will fit with what i have. Thanks for looking any advice or help is appreciated! 

 

 

Hiya, I've just installed a RNS 510 head unit in my 2012 Polo. The head unit is from a MK6 golf and it works so well! As the RNS 510 has Nav I brought a cheep aerial off eBay and works really well. Only had a small issue with the volume, but we quickly fixed with some coding (basic settings). And recently I've added a Bluetooth module, attaches to the head unit with no issues (plug and play) and ran the microphone loom up the pillar and to the interior light unit. All looks pretty cool!

I've just put an rns510 in my golf, what Bluetooth module did you use?

Thank you mate for the reply. Im just looking for something thats plug and play without adding bluetooth etc for now. Whats the difference between the Rsn510 and the Rcd510? Is there a particular one that fits my car without any extra wiring etc? Cheers again appreciate it

Well the Bluetooth module did just plug and play. I will find the part number out. Rns510 has Nav and the phone connectivity option. And the Rcd510 the cheaper version without the Nav and Phone.
