Central locking install

Featured Replies

Hi all

I had a post on here about my alarm wiring, this is basically a continuation on that, the alarm I bought also has a central locking function included, I'm having a little trouble figuring out what wires go where, I've attached a few photos of what I have to work with, there's also a relay which I'm not sure where it's supposed to fit in, and help is appreciated!

As I said in your previous post, that system will be difficult to interface with your standard locking, as it uses a single wire lock/unlock signal wire and switches different resistances for the lock/unlock

Is there anything i can do that would make it easier? Or even possible?

You can make it control the factory fitted c/locking motors but you need to find the resistance value that is being switched by the standard door switch then fit that value into the lock/unlock wires from that unit and connect it to the wire from the drivers door to the control box under the dash,
