Featured Replies

Hi there I have a a mk2 polo facelift that has had vw II brake calipers fitted to it by the previous owner and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what car the VW II Brakes where fitted to originally so I can replace the brake pads.

They were fitted to the mk2 Golf GTI 8v and also the Polo G40. In reality they are the same brake pads that are fitted to Polos with VW1 calipers just the pads and made slightly thinner to account for the extra thickness of the vented disc. I believe the ones you need are 15mm thick and standard ones are 17mm thick. If you are buying the pads from a motor factors use the registration J839PDD, that is the reg of my old genuine G40.
