9N ABS warning light

Featured Replies

The ABS warning light has come on in the dash of my 2002 9N Polo, I have looked in the Haynes manual and couldn't find anything. What could be the cause? A few months ago my Dad had to remove a few fuses and when they were put back in several warning lights came on, and nothing was found to be wrong. Could this be the case, or is there something wrong with the ABS?

Time for a diagnotics read.

Most common problems are cabling from sensors and the reluctor ring itself.

Diagnostics will tell you if there is a 'bad signal' coming from any wheel.

Plug in an OBD reader and post the results here.

If you dont have an ODB reader - post your details here, there is bound to be someone locally who will read it for you.

If the fuse is missing then the light will come on.

Good luck

The only way to find out is get the fault codes read, common faults are the wiring to the front wheel speed sensors, the sensors, or a low voltage problem,

Thank you very much for your advice, I have looked into OBD readers on amazon, but for now I have booked the car into the local garage
