6R Tail Light Lens Disassembly

Featured Replies

One of my tail lights was being stubborn coming out and in the process it managed to drop against the floor.

It didn't smash but an internal reflector has managed to unclip itself and is not accessible from the rear of the tail light.

The tail light features three T20 torx screws at the rear. However, undoing these does not make any difference, nothing is freed by undoing these screws.

Is the tail light stuck together with some super strong VW stuff that needs to go in the oven if I want to get inside the tail light? If it is I think I'll be leaving the reflector loose although I can see it's only unclipped inside so it's doing my head in.

Some photos if of any use...

Normally they are sealed for life by either plastic welding or some sort of adhesive, I definitely wouldn't try putting it in an oven as I recon you'd cause more damage than you've got already
