burning smell in cabin 9n

i have recently replaced the heater resistor in my 9n due to it only working on speed 4 and now it works but it smells like something is burning!

 

any ideas?

The smell may be due to the resistor pack being new, if so, it should quickly 'go away'.

On the other hand, the reason that the resistor burned out in the first place MAY be due to the heater motor drawing too much current due to a fault. If this is the case, the new resistor will also quickly fail.
