apologies as I expect that this topic has been done to death, but I recently picked up a mk2 Polo breadvan for my son. It's been lowered (by how much I can't say for certain) and I'm wondering what wheel and tyre combo options I have with little or no work to the rear arches? Does anyone have any ideas regarding the required offset? I quite like the look of 6x13 superlites, or maybe a set of BBS RZ, but as for tyre size I'm not sure what I'd be looking at to avoid causing problems at the rear. Cheers

For a breadvan your best to stick to standard wheel and tyre sizes.

 

But if you want wider without having to destroy the rear arches, 13x6 ET30 with 165/65/13 tyres work.

 

Usually the rear shocks on the lowering kits are adjustable, with notches you can move a clip to raise the spring seat.

 

Normaly Mini wheels will have a very low offset and will poke out a lot, even at narrower widths.

 

15" wheels like "g60 steels" can work on 165/50/15 tyres, but look a bit big on a mk2.
