VW Polo/Derby MK2 Speedometer

Featured Replies

Hey Guys,

my name is Manuel and I've owned my 1982 Derby for about 6 years now :) Have undergone a complete restoration and have gone through about 3 engine/carb setups. Currently running a 1300 with quad Keihin bike carbs. Bought the kit from DanST, runs like a dream.

Earlier this year, I relocated to the United States and took my car with me. It's a bit bothersome (or a spot of bother, as you guys would say :) that I have a kph speedo. Therefore, I'm looking for a an mph speedometer with a day mile counter. The part number is 867957023G

My car currently has 163,000 km on it, so if someone has one that shows the neighborhood of 100,000 miles, that would be sweet. I know it's possible to swap over the counters, but I'm rather reluctant to do that. Might break something.

Obviously, I'd pay for the shipping to California. It's a classic car so I don't mind spending a few bucks. Payment would be made through PayPal.

Best Regards

Manuel

Hey,

yup Pos. 1 in this drawing: http://vagpart.com/vw/polo-derby-vento-ind-po-eu-1982-112-speedometer/

My dash has a choke light, yellow high beam light and tachometer. These were pretty rare AFAIK, so, yeah just the speedo will do :)

It's only a weekend car, so there's no rush. Don't go bumpin' your head in the dark shed on my account :D
