Audi A3 Steering wheel in a Polo?

Featured Replies

So I recently picked up a Leather Audi A3 wheel with airbag for a steal (£20) to replace the knackered wheel in my polo. But I need some help... The wheel fits the steering rack fine but I have no way of connecting the horn and possibly the airbag (I'll pick up on that in a second). So my two questions are this, can I adapt the original clock spring from the polo (I would have to drill 4 holes in the wheel to bolt it to the new wheel like it is in the old one) to work with the new wheel and can I hook up the airbag or is that something that is vehicle specific?

We've got a few A3's and MK5 golfs in at the moment, never swapped one in to a Polo, but I'd be interested to see what you'd need to make it work (squib rings etc etc). If you need any other bits let me know, we've got everything on the shelf.

Do you have any photos? i got my 6R last night and im keen to start modifying it and a smaller wheel was on my list

Most VAG wheels should fit, VW heritage do spline adaptors too
