Mk2 Polo - lost all power

Featured Replies

Hi was wandering if anyone could help. my dad drove my car home from town (about 20 miles) turned it off, then when i went to start it again about 3 hours later and there was no electrical power to anything. no lights on the dash on ignition, no lights etc. would anyone be able to suggest what the problem maybe? I've checked battery terminals and they seem to be fine. battery is also fairly new and would have been charged after driving. have also just replaced the altenator.

need to find out if the battery is really dead ..try the headlights and see if they work on full power

might just be a case of lights left on or something

if you have a multimeter theres a few other tests you can try
