Mk2f boot lock

Featured Replies

So it's only taken a week for me to break something!

Tried opening my boot yesterday & broke the lock. Felt like something snapped inside & now it won't open & it's locked shut.

Had a quick look on here and a few people have had the same problem.

To fix it, Is it just a case of finding someone who's breaking a polo? Or is there anything better I can replace it with?

Thanks

My polo came with a broken lock, key just spun in the barrel. Search over ebay for a replacement boot lock, cost me 4-5 quid I think.

Will have a seperate key however..

My polo has a faulty drivers door lock barrel and the passenger side isn't too clever either so i got a remote lock kit and fobs seeing as i have central locking anyway. The kit cost me just under £9 with 2 fobs included. As most scrappies won't split lock sets up, i think i took the cheaper and better option.
