Insurance for a GT

Featured Replies

Right well tried insuring my GT today and found M&S to be the cheapest (through the thing on autotrader) when I phoned up and told them about mods and stuff they tried to hump me for £2200!

Does anybody know some good companies?

19 Year old, 0 NCB, 1991 GT lowered wheels zorst chip.

Shit the bed!

I think i'll be phoning them in the morning! What mods you got?

ask Nick101

he's got a GT and only been driving for a year or so.

19, 0 no claims and mods are not they best recipie for cheap car insurance, added to the GT being a relitivly high insurance group for what it is imo. good luck though.

Think the GT is group 8.

Christ, you all get raped for these at 18/19.

My 2.0l GTI 16v costs £750 full comp + business miles, all mods insured (exhaust, suspension, rims, respray etc)

My Polo GT costs £270 with no NCB, business miles but is TP only.

Try to get an older female to be on your insurance if you can (your Mum for instance) as that will help to spread the liability whilsts getting an NCB.

I'm with Brentacre and Admiral BTW. FYI, Brentacre are great for modified cars and give discounts for most VW club members
