It's a one owner car with full service history, 92k on the clock paid 150 quid for it and cost me 100 quid to put right and mot hahah! Off to pick up some alloys for it on Saturday, alfa romeo teledials, should look good hopefully then either coilovers or springs, springs preferably as I hate the ride of coilovers!

Welcome aboard! Great little base to start on, enjoy the forums.

You got a Bargain at £100. Coilovers are a good choice . If you proper slammed it then it will be stiff and a harsh ride. But a subtle drop would be normal but firm. Wheels look intresting.

What coilovers are the best to go for? I don't wanna be paying loads for them as the car is only cheap! And hahah cheers something a bit different i suppose! Just unsure on what colour I should do them!

Ive had the cheap fk ak coilovers on the  golf mk2 (not on the polo). It wasnt wound all the way down just 45/50mm if i remember, and the ride was firm and not crashy. Its when you start chopping the bump stops and wound it all the way down then the ride is uncomfortable as you feel every bump on the road .
