The ABD wasn't fitted to any 6N's it was only fitted to Golf/Vento & Seat Cordoba (99)

Thanks for that so that's the sort after conversion?

its the one that fits in and is identical to the orig polo engines so all the bits swap over and it looks standard

depends what youre after really ...they give a nice little boost vs the 1300 , mine seems fairly punchy around 50-60mph better for overtaking , but dont go thinking it makes it into a racing car

No not after boy race car engine. At the moment I just have a 1.1 that need head gasket and may be valves and guides water pump timing belt etc maybe a head skim.  Just thinking do I do all this work on the existing engine,  or go for this abd engine or something similar..

yeah then that would make sense if you can find one ...get searching for mot failiure golfs etc , theyre not really in demand apart from a few polo owners so dont get advertised much
