9n3 Head Unit Installation

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just wondering if I can get a bit of advice. I'd like to change my head unit in my 08 Polo but when I did this previously the power stayed on continuously. I've read about canbus, piggyback fuses and wiring to the 12V. Please can someone advise on the best way forward, halfrauds said they could wire in the fuse but after previous experience and how they described "we need to dismantle your dash"  (I've done it before and that's bs..) I feel uneasy about giving them my keys.

Cheers.

Something like this will get around the problem https://www.connects2.co.uk/Product/ProductItem/CTHUE-VW1

Thanks,  would this require any additional wiring or is this just plug n play? The instructional pdf doesn't appear to download

I've not used one before, but it does look like it's almost PnP  Might pay to contact them to see if they can send you the pdf file to make sure it will do what you need
