Hi so I have currently go a few on going problems the first one is my front pads + discs.

I just recently had them changed as we're completely knackered however my brake pedal still feels as crap as before so I took wheels off and had a look, i also had to buy replacement slid pins/bolts as they were completely rounded I will include a photo.

Once I took wheels off it looks although the front pad is wearing pretty evenly however the back pads doesn't seem to be, I checked to see if calliper is working correctly and it is. I can't seem to think of what could be causing the issue, I will say though I have never seen slid pins/bolts like these before.

My other problem I am facing is I recently fitted coilovers to my car and steering wheel was of course miles off I took it to kwik fit to get aligned and all toe is in green however caster and camber are in red, the car still feels although it is pulling and steering wheel still off slightly would this be because of the camber and caster?

Hi, i assume the pics are from before you had the discs and pads changed cos those discs look rough with corrossion and if fitted from another car then not good. The brake pedal travel is probably going to be down to needing the rear shoes adjusting up as the self adjusters quite often don't work as good as they could.

Good advice. Also, just my tuppence worth, Depending on how long ago it was done etc try bleeding them as well. Can't hurt. And inspect your brake lines as well. Iirc they're rubber hose down to the front calipers. I'd also suggest either a suspension specialist to set up your coilovers or, do some research online and wheel spacers/shims to sort out camber issues  (sure there's a thread here somewhere) my other thought would be to check the steering rack if it's pulling noticeably. Like I said, just my tuppence worth. Also, check your wheel clearances as I learned the hard way when I fitted my coilovers :(

Sorry for late reply, no the photos are from after fitting brand new discs and pads about 2 weeks later, it is as if only part of the pad is being used to brake

Discs don't look like that after 2 weeks !!

They are old discs without a doubt. New ones only cost less than a tenner a disc, upwards depending on brand/quality. If someone has fitted them for you they should not be working on cars and the discs need binning.

Whilst you can still see the manufacturers grinding marks in one of your pics, from what you say, it seems like someone has fitted you some (well) used discs.

The only shot of a pad, looks to be OK, so providing that the others are all as good, they shouldn't be part of the problem.

 

You need to get back to whoever fitted those second-hand discs and get your money back - this would be in preference to letting that person do any further work on your car.

 

As well as sorting out the brakes, never forget the BASIC basic point of any steering problem, namely, check that ALL of your tyre pressures are correct.

the pad will be riding /working against the rust rather than working as it should on the clean shiny metal 

 

as said theyre not crazy money to replace ...and whoever fittd them shouldnt be trusted round your car
