I'm about to have my windscreen seal replaced and the window has a couple bad chips so it's possible they could crack or even smash the glass when removing it. Does anyone know where I could get another just in case this happens? It's a mk2 polo saloon. I was also wondering do all mk2 polo windscreens fit it, or does it have to be the exact one from a saloon?

yes chips do often crack when you remove the screen, any windscreen firm should be able to supply a new glass for about 70-80 £

get it done through your insurance. Most ins. covers glass as a 'no claim' and charges you the excess agreed when you took it out. Does not affect your premium at all. Got mine done for £60 at christmas , even came to the house to fit. Obviously you would have to ask for the screen because of damage, then give the fitter your new seal when he arrives.
