Have you checked the wiring to the door light switch (in the chassis) and the wiring to the stereo? I think the fag adaptor shares the same fuse so start to have a rummage...

Hi mate,

Fuse 12 was very weird for me, if the fuse was out and was the engine was running i used to kill the engine. All the other components work absolutely fine on my car, Speedo, interior light, radio ect. It was like a kill switch for the engine.

its so wired i found my problem with that i hadnt grounded the radio properly all sorted now though

Get a capless type bulb and attach a wire to each connector and put it across the fuse contacts then operate any suspect components and wiggle any suspect wiring etc. The bulb should only light when something is drawing current so if it randomly lights when say moving some wiring then there is the short. Saves on fuses.
