Hello, just wondering if anyone can help me before i torch the thing, right i have just done the brakes on my 1.4 tdi polo and when i have gone to drive it its like the pedal is staying solid but its vacums then it goes solid and the brakes are applied very slowly but the pedal goes half way if that and then stops and wont go anymore i have to use the handbrake to slow the car down, so if anyone could help asap would be great before i smash the thing up :( thank you:(

What do you mean by done the brakes. Let us know the details of what you have done so can see if its related. Assume the brakes felt ok before the work. Have you had the hydraulic system open?

I did the front pads mate sorry, no i forgot to open the cap on the master cylinder, so we think i have turned the seals in the master cylinder so ive got a brand new one and hopefully fitting it saturday or sunday. 

The brakes where fine but grinding when braking due to how low 1pad was as i thi k i have a sticky calliper aswell
