I need some help with the wiring colours for my mk 3 polo, I'm attempting to fit a universal remote system, just to lock and unlock doors (not bothered with lights flashing or horn, Windows etc) just want it to lock and unlock car as the paddles have both broken in the doors so I can't currently lock or unlock car... I have taken a picture of the coloured wires that go into the central locking buttons on the drivers door panel, I'm hoping I can maybe wire it to that to save time? However I have no clue what the colours are for? 

 

If any one could help me with what colour wires are for what I'd really appreciate it? I need a constant 12v for the power to the remote module and then a wire for door lock and one for door unlock so I can use this universal remote lock? The Keyless Entry system I have is model: LB-405.

On here we refer to your model as a MK5 or 6N2 looking at the switches.

 

The best place to pick up the signals and power is in the boot by the pump unit, on the pump pins 1 & 2 RED/WHITE wires are 12v live supplies and pin 7 WHITE/YELLOW wire is the "LOCK" switched POS and pin 10 WHITE/GREEN wire is the "OPEN" switched POS

Hi, I fitted a similar sort of kit to my polo and also found that the wiring colours didn't tally up so checked old postings on here ( there are loads) for info and got things sorted out quickly after that. As said, the best place to work from is the control unit in the boot as this connects everything to everything else in one go. I also did away with flahing indicators and alarm etc. In case of any differences i won't attempt to guide you on the wire colours myself.

Hi followed your instructions they was exactly as you said and the remote locking is working perfectly!! Thanks very much for your help guys, really appreciated it!! Top site and top people on here! Now I can enjoy remote central locking when my hands are full! :) thanks again!!
