6n2 harlequin build

Featured Replies

figured i might start a thread on this little project, i got offered a 6n2 for £270 and i cant say no to cheap cars, she was in pretty decent condition , just flaking paint on roof little dents everywhere and the rear bumper was in bad conditon but i didnt care about that when i brought it  ,   the more i cleaned the car the more i fell in love with it and the little imperfection started to become a big problem to me so i though ive allways wanted to own a harliquin so i decided id make one from this 6n2 :D

as i said im a sucker for cheap cars , the guy i brought the first polo off mentioned their friends polo had been in a crash and has scrapes all down one side of the car , though i could break the new car down for spares to make mine better , £150 later, the car was in a poor state , moldy, dirty interior and the outside hadnt been cleaned  didnt have any photos before i cleaned it but a good cleaning later she looked decent , me being me i decided im not going to break the blue one down but to keep it and it gave me the perfect chance to take my green one off the road to prep it for paint

Finally got around to painting IMG_1201.thumb.JPG.7d4cc7e279136a81cea474a0c41a5624.JPGit's my first time properly painting with a gun rather than a rattle can.  So I'm super happy with the results IMG_1203.thumb.JPG.0029557379cb564995db7e037e59d7b9.JPGthe lights in work make it look much darker. The bumper and one front door came out nice. Sadly for a few runs in the passenger front door so gotta fix that when it drys

Top work mate!

IMG_1223.thumb.JPG.177b808504a43f95bc3d50fd386e51e9.JPGJust fitted them roughly just to see what the colours are like out side and next to each and I'm loving it 9F9EB59A-D248-46B4-9161-4DDDF04E8E76.thumb.jpg.fa0ca09f25876b2d1886b58d8cd7fab4.jpgthis is how everything looks right now.  I'm having to put down a lot of layers as the base shows through So much. Tomorrow will be painting the body.  Then I'm just left with finding a new rear bumper and fixing the runs in the door

So I've gotten as far as I can today.IMG_1230.thumb.JPG.0e6ccc69003bde827e22f7db4f70f0c8.JPGneed to lower her and find a decent set of wheels.

been busy watching paint dry , surprisingly exciting when the finish is nice aha so her she is 17796189_10154284798110925_7151897173759882111_n.thumb.jpg.fd6719daeee03fc8d8bab138b0b78b57.jpg
