im hoping someone will be able to help me.

 

Just just got given my nans old polo which was found in one if her barns when she passed away. lovely car low mileage full service history and it good condition.
But
when i was given the car we could not find the keys any where and cant ask her where she put them.

I have tried to jump start it but nothing. i think the immobilizer is kicking in but i have no idea how get passed it.

i would really like to keep the car as it is was my nans and get it back up and running.

I hope someone out there will be able to help me with this.

First think I'd try is speak to VW, see if they can supply you with a new key.

 already have they said there was nothing they could do.

 

if it helps at all i am turning the car into a drag car and wont be using the current ignition switch, ill be using a racing ignition switch and start button

If your going to keep the standard injection system ?  then you can have the immob deleted from the ECU costs around £60~70 or you can buy a defeat device on ebay but not sure as to how reliable they are ?

do you have any links to an example online please? sounds like that could work.

 

and yes atm im just trying to get it started and then go from there

You could try and find a good local autoelectrician who could read the immob pin code and then recode a new transponder chip, try that immob defeat unit that plugs into the OBD port or send the ECU to that place in the link I posted
