I have a set of reasonably rare Dezent typA wheels in 7 & 8" flavour. However the lips are pretty shagged and will require a fair bit of work/money to get looking right again. Therefore I was wondering if it was possible to make a set of 2-piece splits by currint the lip off and tapping the barrels. Does anyone know anything about this as a process and what are the pit falls?
