Apologies if this information is already available in the 16v conversion thread, I'm using my phone right now and that thread is tricky to follow even on a proper PC.

 

Basically I want to know if the afh engine specifically needs bike carbs when doing a mk2 engine swap or if I can use my Weber 28/32 dmtr, if I can use the Weber what are my intake manifold options.

 

Does the Ashley 421 exhaust manifold fit the afh engine?

 

I understand I need a loom, does it have to be an afh polo loom or would one from a 6n 8v work? What else would I need.

 

Again, I'm sorry to ask as I'm fully aware this information is available but I'm just after a very concise run down until I can get to my PC and have a proper research.

if you want to run your weber then it would be a custom manifold....tbh id stick with the reliable factory fuel inj as it just works 

 

if using a carb you want the late mk2 ign loom and parts 

Ta very much, I knew I'd have to have a custom manifold. I figured the carb would be easier to set up and get working than the injection.

seems most people think that , but the injection will run all day long at its best from day one , you might spend months messing with manifolds and carb sizing thats no where near right , guess it depends on what you want and your ability 

Ok, I'll try and get the whole package when I finally find a donor car.
