hey guys I'm thinking about a 1.8t conversion for my 6n2 after around a year of driving after I pass,  providing I don't bin it and send the insurance skyrocketing on my own policy, roughly how much do you recon it would cost to insure and where do you guys suggest, I will be 18 when I do the swap

Personally I would go on a few comparison websites and fill the details in as if you've already added the engine in, insurance is hard to guess because it's completely dependant on the modification as different mods have different insurance costs (as well as other factors). Statistically adding a more powerful engine will increase your insurance but it does depend who you go with. Sorry if that isn't much help

All these compare websites are not suited for engine swap modified cars hence stupid crazy expensive prices .Go ring around for a specialist car insurance like  sky insurance, Adrian flux, hic.  Ive insured a 1.4 16v on a 1.0 polo 6n shell for £550 with 2ncb with brentacre insurance. Ring around
