Hello all, I'm Pete and a new member,  I'm hoping that someone will be able to solve a frustrating mystery.  In February my son fitted  two new wishbones and ball joints for me.

Three weeks ago it was mot'd and the front tyres which were fitted new in November 2106 were shot at, embarrassingly shot at.  I suspected that as the wear was so severe over a short period that the wishbones were the wrong length and pushing the strut out at the bottom.

I took it for a geometry check and it was discovered that both tracking and camber were miles out, far too much for the type of work carried out.  I contacted the parts supplier but they say that parts supplied are correct, I know that this is not the case and I am having difficulty tracking down (excuse the pun) the reason for this.  Any ideas out there?..

The bottom ball joint can be fitted in two directions depending on what wheel size you have 13/14" if they were fitted the wrong way around it would certainly put the geometry out, also the wishbones have slots for the lower ball joints to adjust for camber, so as soon as you fit new ones you need to get geometry checked as it only takes a few hundred miles to start damaging the tyres
