Hi I'm c-j and am now the owner of a mk2 j reg polo ( may have bitten off more than. I can chew but will see ) I brought it from a

mate for £100 it's been sat in his garden for about three years but we put new battery on it other day and it started first time is running a bit rough but fuel is old so that's gotta be a good sign

it's prob not everybody cup of tea units current form but once it's fully back up and running and on road (hopefully ) looking  to get some ideas and inspiration as well as some tech advice and maybe even attend a show or two I'm not the most mechanically minded have some basic stuff with cars but nothing huge but everybody's got start somewhere right and I like to challenge myself

Hi CJ, I'm in the same boat, lets have fun and may be even learn a thing or 2 in the process.

Ive had mine on the drive 2 days and got stuck in, shame it's back to work on Monday. Good luck. Update with pics, I've been trying but seems every pic I take is bigger than 2mb.

Sounds good I brought it off my mate at start of the summer thinking nice summer project to work on with some mates whilst the light nights are with us  but then I got offered a flat in Birkenhead (car is in Wrexham )and moved into that all bit of a whirlwind so havent had anytime to look at the car but my mates bringing it up to my new place hopefully next week  on a trailer so it be easier being at mine to get it up and running and hopefully back on road the good thing about living where I do now is the amount of scrapyard /breakers right on my doorstep am sure I'll get to know them all quite well
