Interior light, trip, clock failed

Featured Replies

Hello all

I drive a 1999 petrol 1.4 5 door hatch. I have a puzzle. I have lost the interior light, intermittent rear wipe, and the warning sound if  I leave the car with lights or indicators on. The trip meter & clock will run from zero accurately only for the duration of that trip.

But, the speedo works as does the total mileometer, so do temp gauge, pressure gauge rev counter &  all other lights, indicators, washers & wipers. The bulb & fuse for light are fine, the regular rear wipe works and the clock & trip meter operate from zero all the time the engine runs & then clear on every stop.

I would apprecaite any thoughts. Thank you

It does sound very much like you've blown a fuse. It's worth checking them all. Sometimes they can just wiggle a bit loose as well.

Fuse 27 (5 amp) for interior light, speedo memory (inc buzzer ) & fuse 24 ( 10 amp ) for rear wiper
