Condensation in Polo Mk 4

Featured Replies

Hi,

hope you're well on this frosty morning.

I have a 2008 Mk4 5 door hatchback

It is great but seems to suffer a lot of condensation in the winter months. More than I'm used to in other cars.

The inside of the windscreen is seriously wet and takes an age to de-mist even with a/c.

I  have noticed condensation amongst the rear window seals. Could that be a contributing factor?

I have one of those demist pads which go pink but it doesn't make much difference

Is this a common issue with Polos?

Any advice appreciated

Thanks in advance

sounds like it may have a water leak , best check it under the seats etc for dampness and dry it out and find out where its getting it

Good to find where the leak is from and then help get the moisture out, here's a couple of tips from DaveHax and ChrisFixIt.

Leaks can come from door sills, sunroof, grommet holes, etc.
