Good evening all.

I have a 52 plate 9n polo, currently fitted with a radio/cassette player and a little storage cubby hole in the second din area. 

 

I want to add a CD player, I’ve purchased a second hand Volkswagen one from eBay, awaiting delivery. How easy is it to just add this to the existing radio? I don’t have a radio code so hope I don’t need to disconnect the radio, do I just need to plug the CD player into the back of the radio or is there a bit more to it than that? I won’t be using or needing a cd changer. 

 

If so what exactly will this entail?

 

I've ordered a set of tools to remove the radio so I can’t actually pull it out to have a look yet. If I was unlucky enough to disconnect the radio without a code, anyone know where/how I can get the code? Thanks in advance!

Depending on what radio you have fitted ? it should just be a matter of connecting the Blue connector to the radio as that will supply the power and allow the control of the CD player, if you do need a code there are a few people on eBay that will get your code based on the serial number of the radio
