Polo Gti manual headlight adjustment

Featured Replies

Hi lads, ive just fitted Gti Xenons to my 6n2 Polo. I need to aim them a little higher but the electric motor doesnt lift them high enough. The manual adjustment cog/gears are shredded, do i just need to replace those and turn clockwise a bit or could i damage something else by doing this?

Thanks guys

Paul

The electric adjusters don't have that much movement in them anyway, so you need to get the basic alignment sorted first, you can get repair kits on eBay for the basic adjusters

Hmm, thanks Nige. I couldnt see the kits on eBay though. Would they be discontinued?

They're not like what i need. Its the part you turn and the little cog/gear that it truns also. I'll have a look again and make sure thats what i need.

Yeah i need the two gears, one of them has the hex hole in it for an allen key, the other is just a gear thats stuck on a shaft. The shaft goes into the back of the headlight.

Ok so i need more than the little gears! I manually turned the adjuster shaft and the lights still didnt move, i guess I'll pop the lights out again and investigate. ?
