Front brake pad sensor plug wrecked 9N3

Featured Replies

The sensor plug on my 9n3 is completely smashed. Not the wire from the pad, but the receiving plug. Can I simply splice another in? Guessing it will be tricky keeping it dry...   (The loom has a split cable - one going to the ABS sensor and the other for the brake pad wear sensor). Any pointers would be great.

Solder and heat-shrink tubing should keep out moisture on a scrapyard sourced plug.

I connector blocked one a couple of years ago as a temporary fix. It's still fine! Main problem is the insulation is properly tough.

Thanks for the replies!  Are the same connectors used on other VAG cars? Local scrap yard has limited stock....

Yeah, if it's VAG and it's got abs it should have the same plug.
