Hey everyone, well I must be mad as I have just bought another VW! This time a Mk2 Breadvan, genuine 40,000 miles from new, family owned from new and completely standard. I will get some pics sorted when I have some time. 

 

As I say, car is completely stock so I am torn between using this to its advantage and not doing anything, or, doing some tweaks and making it stand out. 

 

The car has no rust, it is actually beyond what I expect from VW's (having a beetle and T25 you will understand...) 

 

I am a VW nut so work doesn't phase me, has always been the aim to get a car which is completely original with a genuine low mileage. 

 

My aim is to try and keep this updated on what I do (and don't do) and will be good to have something to keep a track of it. 

 

Any advice would be appreciated on whether to keep it stock or not.

If it's a 1 litre you might find it underpowered for today's roads.

If it's 1.3 should be fine.

 

Is it a good colour with little fade?

Then keep it stock.

 

VW heritage gives access to  rare parts and lots available from us enthusiasts and eBay and other vendors.

 

Either way lots of help on here.
