Looks simple but thought I'd do a quick check.  Anything I need to take into account when replacing the wing on a 6n2.  It's not the GTI - I believe the wing and sill are different on those. Any special fixings I need that might have perrished?  The bolts on the top of the wing look funny - I'm suspecting they might be some sort of cam, 1/4 turn things or something?

 

Thought I might do a few coats of clear coat on the back at the bottom to keep the rust away a bit longer. Worth a try or not??

No special fastners or tools required, just the bolts behind the arch liner along the door pillar edge will be covered in thick underseal so might need a bit of work to get on the head of the bolts and the underseal might hold the wing in place after the bolts are removed so expect a bit of physical to release it !!

Just thought! Do I need to drop the bumper first or will it slide past? From the diagram, doesn't look like there are any fastenings behind the bumper section.

It's been a while since I removed a Polo wing but from memory without removing the bumper cover you will struggle to get at the bolts circled
