Recently I had a misfire. I suspected that one of the coil packs so ordered new ones with new spark plugs.

While waiting for these, today I started the car and heard a little knocking noise with oil level being low. Topped up oil knocking was gone. Took out the spark plugs and noticed oil coming out through spark plug in cylinder 3.

 

Someone can shed me some light on whats wrong? Cheers

 

Is the sparkplug solid? I have known the inner conducting core to come loose on aftermarket items.

(perhaps damaged in the post)

Never seen plug come to bits with Bosch or NGK.

 

oil spilt when topping up?

leak from filler cap?

 

Clean it up. Shake flour or talcum powder on engine. Look for leak tracks.

Easier to see leaks with dirty oil than clean new.
