I recently replaced my selector shaft seal, and just now noticed that I've broken the new one in the installation process.

I was wondering if the part where the shaft seats, like an aluminium tube, is interchangable, because I think I may have damaged it in the removal process and if there's a part number available.

There is a sleeve listed in the parts listing https://volkswagen.7zap.com/en/rdw/polo+derby+vento-ind/po/1998-158/3/311-311082/#3 but I think you would need to strip the gearbox down to replace it ?

Looks like it MIGHT be no.3, but cannot really find any pictures of it.

I didnt look in depth at it, as it was late when I found that the seal was messed up, but as far as I looked, it looked like it was pressed in from the outside, as where the seal seated in the sleeve was of bigger diameter than where the sleeve seated in the box (I might be very wrong though)
