Featured Replies

Hello

I would like to install the rcn 210 stereo from here https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/MEjE3lf

but before I’m buying I wanted to know what cables do I need.

1. My car doesn’t have the original stereo, someone install cheap stereo so I will not be able to plug n play( he cut the wires) so I wanted to know the cables that  he’s giving is enough for the installation.

2. About the antenna. I need adapter from my antenna plug to the antenna plug of this stereo. Can someone tell me wich one I need?

3. I only need to connect the 12v, ignition, ground and speakers and that it? Or because of the can bus it will not work properly?

Thank you!!

Hello someone can help ?

The main connections are:

Red/Yellow 12v Ignition supply (any time the key is inserted)

Black/Red 12v live (memory) supply

White/Blue Speed input (might not be required on your aftermarket unit)

Grey/White Diagnostic line ( might not be required on yor aftermarket unit)

Grey Backlighting supply

Brown Ground

As the the aerial connection that will depend on what has been left in the car ? it might be a "Fakra" connector or a standard VW one ??

It’s the old and standard plug. So which adapter do I need to fit to this stereo?

thanks

By the year of your car, VW were changing the aerial connectors, so if you can get a picture of it and the new unit connector ? then should be able to say what adapter you might need
