Bike carb conversion

Featured Replies

Hi guys. Hope you're all well. I have a full bike carb conversion kit that i had fitted to an early 80's breadvan. Will it fit on a later model? Specifically a 94? Facelift model? There is an outlet on the manifold inlet for brake servo but i filled that in as mine didn't use that. Asking as i have no use for the kit and someone wants to buy it if it will fit.

Thanks for stopping by and any guidance you can leave.

Okay cool. So if i understand correctly, the kit that i had made for a 1983 breadvan will fit onto a 94 facelift polo? I just need to drill out the brake servo outlet that i filled in? Is the inlet manifold pretty much the same size? Carb clearance good? Thanks for getting back to me by the way.

Not a 94 model, looking to fit it to a 93. Sorry. My bad. Are the engines pretty similar in dimensions apart from the servo assist?

The 83 (mk2) 93 (mk2f) use the same block and head shape, mk2 has mechanical pump and carb the 2f is full EFI. The mk2f would need a mk2 vac dizzy and loom as the EFI has to be removed to run carbs

So really a mk2 is an easier conversion as most of the parts are there already

The kit isn't going back on my mk2. I've listed it on *bay and someone has asked if it will fit a 93 polo. I actually have an old dizzy from a previous mk2 i owned i can throw in. Would that pretty much get it going?
