I bought a master cylinder from Europarts listed for the Mk2 but has angled outlet ports instead of vertical and horizontal ports. Will this fit the pedal travel? I am modifying the brake pipes anyway so that's not a problem. For those reading my  blog will know that my servo conversion that was supposed to be for a Mk2 Polo was a failure where it got in the way of the engine fitting. Could it be for a Golf only?

If the overall length of the new cylinder is the same as the old one, the length of stroke is likely to be the same. Check though that the distance from the mounting flange to the open end of the cylinder is about the same.

As you are fitting new pipes, it shouldn't cause any problems.

Probably the best way of converting a Mk2 to servo brakes, is to convert it to left hand drive 😊
