The cambelt on my 1.0l mk2 saloon has just recently snapped and the mechanic wanted to know if the engine was an interference engine or a non interference engine, so it'd be much appreciated if anyone could let me know.

Well tbf he hasn't yet seen the car and is more bias towards the bigger American stuff so he didn't know.
