milage reset for rebuild POLO 6N 16V

anyone know how to reset miles to zero for a rebuild.

 

is it a case of opening the speedometer up and using a screw driver to turn some gears that send a digital signal to the display?

With VCDS you can increase the mileage display, but for obvious reasons you can't reduce it, so unless you can read the eeprom data in the speedo and know what section of the data refers to the distance display there isn't much you can do

Can you increase it to 999,999 and then add 1?

Will it show 000,000 or 'TILT' ?

 

My TomTom is suffering from the Week Number Roll Over which is a bug.

If odometer does rollover/wraparound that's a feature?
