Back home after the Polo Social weekend.

 

If you were the bloke that asked me on Friday evening "is this it?", next to chequered gazebo - I'm sorry I probably could have been more helpful but not less truthful.

"Yes we call it the Polo Social. There are usually more cars on Sunday for the Show and Shine"

 

Thanks to Steven for the jumpstart, AndyF for vac/fuel line diagnostics, Westy for more tubing, the bbq admin team, everyone else for smiling and chatting and banter and the Ska tunes.

 

 

I got undertaken at a roundabout on the way home. Big 4x4, he went on the pavement to get past me I thought. No, he wanted to say how impressive my car was,  know what engine I had fitted and begged me to do a burnout...

(on my winter tyres) … only in Fenland.

Think the heat and other shows may have been against us this year, we have always said that the Sunday is the main day to come and the Saturday is just a for chilling out with like minded people in a field.

Thanks to everyone that came,

It was a shame it was so quiet, the turn out was very disappointing considering the turn out we have had previous years, but it was still a lot of fun, very chilled out and lots of laughs. No complaints at all about Billing Aquadrome, and having the food vans, pubs, chippy/pizza place and decent shop on site is a bonus.

I was also incredibly happy to win a trophy for my Bluey, 7 years off the road and all that hard work was well worth it just to see him shining there in the sun with his polo mates! :-)
