Drivers window lowers when open drivers door with key

Lock the car with the keyed central locking, (as opposed to remote) and after a short period, the drivers window lowers.
If the door is left unlocked, it stays up.
Any suggestions?

What model/year do you have ? The problem sounds like the switch in the door lock is not returning to "OFF" position

I'd a similar issue with MK3 GTI, only it put all the windows down lol when opened with the key though, not locking. The lock was sticking, some WD40 in the lock and repeatedly opening and locking the door with the key to free it up  helped although i'm not sure I'd advice this without checking with other folks here as wd40 could get into other bits that it shouldn't!
